Here's Shaw Bernard's story:
Trinidadian born Fashion model, TV Host and entrepreneur Shaw Bernard has sixteen years of experience in the fashion and beauty industry. During her over a decade long modeling career, Shaw has worked with numerous fashion and cosmetic brands, both internationally and nationally including Jovani Fashions, Amparo Chorda, Elie Kuame Couture, Chantell Walters, Catalin Botezatu, Ellery and Tommy Hilfiger to name a few. She has also hosted several fashion events and pageants. Shaw has also recently started a YouTube channel Shaw Bernard TV where she focuses on pop culture and lifestyle topics and she also produced a marriage docu-series called Pure Love, that focuses on the multiple layers and intricacies of faith based marriages.
In 2013, Shaw became an entrepreneur opening Strut Model & Talent Agency in New York City, her talent development and management company for kids, teens and adults. In addition to helping talent refine their craft, Shaw created the Strut-Esteem program to help New York City public school students develop self-confidence through the arts. While running Strut Model & Talent Agency, Shaw was also a model and acting consultant for AMTC (Actors, Models and Talent for Christ). Since opening Strut, Shaw has prepared her clients for numerous fashion shows, pageants and talent competitions and have helped them land representation with top notch agencies.
Shaw is a sought after model coach. She’s not only knowledgeable and has tremendous expertise in the fashion arena, she’s also very effective at imparting her knowledge to her clients. She has found great joy, passion and purpose in equipping the next generation of talent. Though she’s a dedicated wife and mom, Shaw is able to juggle her many roles with style and grace.
