#NZFW 2018 Highlights

model basics. had a blast at New Zealand Fashion Week 2018. New Zealand may be a young country, but its fashion-forward industry talent and innovation impresses each year.

We put together a bunch of fashion week highlights for your perusal. Enjoy!

1. Best Model 

Dani Hayes, the previous winner of New Zealand's Next Top Model, seriously rocked the runway. She stood out in each show that she walked. She was able to pull off a number of different styles, from street to feminine and everything in between, showcasing her versatility. 

2. Best Designer

The New Generation and Graduate designers were bursting with fresh and original talent. Everything from structure to detail was carefully considered, and the clothing was unmissable. It's great to be daring and different, and the names Olli, Cecilia Kang Couture, Caitlin Crisp and Havilah are now entrenched in our minds.

2. Best Show

The best show in terms of execution and professionalism was Zambesi. The music was tailored to the runway, with seamless transitions to introduce new moods. The models looked impeccable, and the audience were in awe. You can tell that Zambesi has been in the game for years. 

3. Best Diversity

There were a few contenders for diversity, including Superette, Jarrad Godman, Good Magazine, Jockey and Zambesi. Diversity is important, as society needs to be represented in order to genuinely connect with brands.

All in all, New Zealand Fashion Week 2018 did not disappoint. We will be back.
